Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan to lead Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal sequel

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's sequel to Love Aaj Kal (2009) is set to feature Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead. Aaryan confirmed his participation in the project, co-produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, on Friday. 

The rumours about the two actors teaming up for a film have been growing stronger since Khan confessed her crush on Aaryan on an episode of chat show, Koffee With Karan. The makers of the film confirmed the project with an announcement on Friday. 

The film also marks the return of Vijan and Ali's collaboration, who were part of the first Love Aaj Kal. The sequel is set to go on the floors in Delhi in the coming week. 

Aaryan was quoted by The Indian Express saying, "He (Imtiaz) is one of my favourite filmmakers and I have always wanted to work with him. I am glad it’s finally happening."

Aaryan's latest film Luka Chuppi hit the theatres today. Luka Chuppi is also produced by Maddock Films.
