Looks like Karan Johar is taking a leaf out of Ekta Kapoor's production text-book. The producer-director has teased the announcement of a new 'fear' franchise on his social media page.

With director Shashank Khaitan and writer Bhanu Pratap Singh tagged to the tweet, it is no surprise they will have a key role to play in the franchise.
Khaitan was at the helm of the Sairat remake, Dhadak (2018), produced by Johar's Dharma Productions. Bhanu Pratap Singh was the associate writer for Any Body Can Dance (2013), and also directed a horror short, Lex Talionis (2018).
The franchise will mark a departure from the usual style of romance and drama for which Johar's Dharma Productions is known. The production house is currently backing projects like Brahmastra (2020).
