The song ‘Maarva’ from Shrabani Deodhar’s Mogra Phulaalaa (2019) further divulges the story of the film. Sunil Kulkarni (Swapnil Joshi) is well in his 30s but is unable to marry as he doesn’t find anyone suitable enough. He has never been in a relationship as he was busy with other responsibilities.
He meets a strong and independent woman (Sai Deodhar) at work and is drawn towards her. She is a single mother of a girl. Sunil forms a bond not only with Deodhar, but with her daughter as well. In fact, the little girl becomes a close buddy of Sunil's.
‘Maarva’ gives a glimpse into the sweet little world of the trio. It moves you to see how their bond keeps getting stronger. There are various moments from the song that bring a smile on your face, especially the little girl drawing the three of them in a sketch.
Singer Jasraj Joshi’s voice grows on you as he soothingly recites Abhishek Khankar’s effective poetry. There is an old world charm in the song, for which Rohit Shyam Raut’s tunes are responsible.
Mogra Phulaalaa also stars Neena Kulkarni, as the protagonist’s mother, Sandeep Pathak and filmmaker and theatre personality Chandrakant Kulkarni.
The film is due to be released on 14 June.
