Letterman sat down with Khan for an interivew on 16 May in front of a live studio audience for his Netflix series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, With David Letterman.
Unlike his late-night stints on American network television, Letterman films two portions of his Netflix chat show — one part in a studio, and one outdoors, where the host talks to his guest.

The talk show host arrived in India to see the man known as King Khan in his element as hundreds of fans swarmed the gate of the superstar's home to greet him for Eid.
A film crew captured the scenes outside Mannat. A similar scene occurs on Khan's birthday, 2 November.
The second season of the series began streaming on 31 May on Netflix. Letterman speaks to Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, philanthropist Melinda Gates, comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, rapper Kanye West, and actress Tiffany Haddish in this next round.
Since Khan's episode is still under production, it is likely that it will debut for the third series of the show. The first series of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, With David Letterman featured only six episodes.
