Miss U Mister trailer: Distance doesn’t dilute Mrunmayee Deshpande, Siddharth Chandekar’s love

The Marathi film is about a couple forced to stay apart for 18 months.

Over the decades, there have been many couples who are forced to go through a long distance relationship. So it’s surprising why there are hardly any movies made on such situation. Director Sameer Hemant Joshi's Miss U Mister (2019) becomes a rare Marathi film to explore the topic.

The film is about a married couple, Kaveri and Varun, (Mrunmayee Deshpande and Siddharth Chandekar) who get physically separated after the husband is forced to migrate to Europe for 18 months for work. They are deeply in love, so, obviously, the distance between pains them. But they do their best in ensuring that the period goes over smoothly.

This trailer is just an extended version of the teaser. The only difference being that here the situation and the characters are elaborated.

The conflict is relatable. The situations are emotional and, at times, funny. As the two are married, the characters of the Varun's parents also come in, adding to the conflict.

The pairing of Chandekar and Deshpande is still fresh and convincing. This is their fourth film together after Mi Ayushchyachya Palikade (2013), Sanshay Kallol (2013) and Sata Lota Pan Sagla Khota (2015).

Miss U Mister, which also stars veteran actress Savita Prabhune, is due to be released on 28 June.
