Rinku Rajguru was recently appreciated for her act in Kaagar (2019). This was her second film after the hugely successful Sairat (2016). In both films, she played a village girl. During an exclusive chat with Cinestaan.com when she was asked if she would like to move away from her rural girl image, she had answered in the affirmative.
And now, Rinku is here playing a city girl in her next film titled Makeup, which is written and directed by Ganesh Pandit.
While nothing much is known about the film, the makers recently came up with an introductory teaser of the film which has the actress getting drunk. She re-enacts Dharmendra’s iconic drunk scene from the classic Sholay (1975).
Rinku is seen standing near the window of an under-construction building at a height. She complaints in a drunken state on how she is made to feel guilty for wearing makeup. She doesn’t shy away from condemning the city as well as her family.
Makeup is the directorial debut of Pandit, a writer on a number of Hindi and Marathi films like Balak Palak (2012), Yellow (2014), Balkadu (2015), and Hichki (2018).
Makeup is produced by Shemaroo.
