After actress Mouni Roy's sudden departure from Bole Chudiyaan, the makers have announced the female lead of the film co-starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Tamannaah Bhatia has been finalised by director Shamas Siddiqui and producers, Rajesh Bhatia and Kiran Bhatia.
Tamannaah confirmed her casting and told the Bombay Times newspaper supplement, "I'm looking forward to this project. The script is good, and this is the first time I will be attempting such a multi-layered character in a mainstream film. What really caught my attention was the story, which revolves around a relevant issue."
Her co-star Nawazuddin welcomed her to the film.

The film will be Shamas's directorial debut. In the same Bombay Times article, the director stated, "Tamannaah has that spark, along with the dedication that I was looking for in my heroine."
The actress is still to begin shooting for her role in the film. It is likely the film will release in 2020 due to the delay caused by the replacement of the lead actress.
