Recently, JP Films announced a partnership with Reliance Entertainment to co-produce three big-budget projects. One of them is JP Films' first foray into the digital platform with a web-series.
The web-series will look at the lives of 21 heroes from the army, navy and air force who have received India's highest honours and awards.
Nidhi Dutta, daughter of filmmaker JP Dutta, is helming all three new projects but requires 21 artistes and six directors to tell these heroic tales.
“Being a content creator and, more importantly, the pioneer of the war genre in the country, JP Films has always picked projects that matter and stories that need to be told," Nidhi Dutta said in a press release. "Today the web platform has given us the scope in which we can tell so many stories and not have to make movies out of them.
"Apart from being riveting stories, these are people who should be lauded and celebrated and taking their stories to the people is the least we can do. Each biopic will have a different actor so we are on the lookout for our 21 heroes and six directors who will be helming the project. We are very excited to start work on this web-series and hope that the web space will offer us much more in future," she added.
JP Dutta will be showrunner of the yet-untitled web-series. His last film, Paltan (2018), was based on the 1967 military clashes between India and China, popularly known as the Nathu La and Cho La clashes.
