Little did the actor know that the tweet would catch the attention of Heyman, who would be none too pleased at the similarity with his own copyrighted catchphrase for Brock Lesnar, 'Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat'.
Heyman took to Twitter straightaway to threaten the Simmba (2018) star with litigation.

Heyman even confirmed sending Ranveer Singh a notice for his use of the catchphrase on Twitter, saying, "I didn't just warn. I served noticed (sic)."
I didn't warn. I served noticed. And while I applaud @TheStatesmanLtd for their coverage of #YourHumbleAdvocate and @BrockLesnar, I must stress that I am not a manager (what an outdated, antiquated term). I am an #Advocate. And I'm the best #Advocate in history. https://t.co/KNQ4fMmUgQ

Considering the popularity of World Wrestling Entertainment in India, it was no surprise that the tiff went viral. Even WWE India shared an update on its social media platform.

While it is not known yet if this is just another marketing gimmick, several Indian members of WWE stepped in for Ranveer Singh asking Heyman to forgive the trespass.
We apologize on behalf of the entire Bollywood film industry, @HeymanHustle.
