Amitabh Bachchan begins shooting Gulabo Sitabo in Lucknow, new look unveiled

After wrapping up the first schedule of Chehre (2020), Amitabh Bachchan moves on to his next, Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo (2020).

The veteran actor is currently in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to shoot his portions on the quirky comedy. Bachchan plays a cranky landlord to actor Ayushmann Khurrana's tenant in the film.

Gulabo Sitabo's writer Juhi Chaturvedi shared Bachchan's new look from the film.

Like Sircar's Piku (2015) and 102 Not Out (2018), Bachchan has altered his look to play an old man. Here, he dons a fake beard, large round spectacles, and a prosthetic larger nose to play his character.

"It's been an exhausting day .. the prosthetics have been tiresome and they sap all your efforts away .. but then this is what we aimed for," the actor shared on his personal blog.

Chaturvedi also revealed that Khurrana is yet to join the Gulabo Sitabo sets. The recce and shooting on Gulabo Sitabo began earlier this week and is expected to wrap up by August. The comedy is due to be released on 24 April 2020.
