Actress Saiyami Kher has bagged Anurag Kashyap’s next directorial venture, which is yet untitled, as reported by the news agency Press Trust Of India (PTI). Just last week, the filmmaker had signed Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew as the male lead in the same film.

Kher shared her excitement to be a part of Kashyap’s project. “It has still not sunk in that I am in Anurag Kashap's film. It is an understatement to say that I am extremely excited to be a part of this project. Can't really talk too much about the film right now,” she told the agency.

This is Saiyami’s third film. She was introduced with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya (2016), which was also the launch pad for actor Harshvardhan Kapoor. She then made her Marathi film debut opposite Riteish Deshmukh in director Aditya Sarpotdar’s Mauli (2018)

Kashyap made the announcement of his new film production company and the new film last week through a Twitter post.

He started off by signing Mathew in the film. The news was shared by actor-turned-director Geetu Mohandas in a Facebook post. Mathew stars in her upcoming Malayalam movie Moothon.

Kashyap’s last film as a director was Manmarziyaan (2018), which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal.
