Actor-filmmaker Ajay Phansekar has announced his next Marathi movie which is titled Senior Citizen. Produced by Om Creations, the cast of the film is currently kept under wraps by the makers. The film will be going on floors soon.
But Phansekar has revealed that the film isn’t like what it appears from the title. “Senior Citizen is a thriller film. The audience will get to see a different kind of story through this movie,” he said in an official statement.
Phansekar is known for his directorial debut Ratra Aarambh (1998). The film was a psychological saga and starred veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar who played a man suffering from multiple personality disorder.
His last Marathi film was Cheater (2016) about a con man. It featured a popular cast of actors with Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Pooja Sawant and Hrishikesh Joshi.
In 2017, Phansekar made his Gujarati film debut as director with Dhantya Open (2017). The film starred Kiran Kumar, a familiar face in Gujarati cinema, in the lead.
