Taapsee Pannu-starrer Game Over saw a big growth in collections on Saturday. After opening to a low number of Rs75 lakh [updated number] on Friday, the film earned Rs1.75 crore on Saturday, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

However, the growth wasn’t maintained yesterday on Sunday as the film fell slightly by making Rs1.50 crore. This might be because of the widely watched match of the cricket World Cup between India and Pakistan. The film’s grand total now stands at only Rs4.50 crore.

Khamoshi, which also released on Friday, has been a washout and this doesn’t come as a surprise after it opened to an abysmal number Rs8 lakh [updated number]. Starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Prabhu Deva in lead roles, the film’s performance was very much the same on Saturday and Sunday as it made Rs12 lakh and Rs8 lakh respectively. With less than Rs30 lakh in the kitty, its fate is effectively sealed at the box office.

On the other hand, the Hollywood release of the week, Men In Black: International, made more than double the amount earned by the two Hindi films by making Rs9.25 crore, although it isn’t a high amount.

Surprisingly, Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, after showing a continuous downward trend in the weekdays, managed decent numbers in the second weekend despite the cricket match. The Ali Abbas Zafar film made Rs6 crore each on Saturday and Sunday, taking its grand total to Rs184.16 crore.
