When you hear about a fiction series based on the environmental degradation, you expect its trailer to focus on how we humans have terribly damaged our environment through various means. But the promo of director duo Shiva-Saptaraj’s web-series Hawa Badle Hassu, which is based on the said issue, takes you by surprise.
It’s a light-hearted trailer about a mysterious auto-rickshaw driver Hassu played by Chandan Roy Sanyal. He runs an eco-friendly auto-rickshaw, but that is not the only thing that separates him from other people from his profession.
Hassu entertains his passengers constantly through his talks and shayaris while spreading the message of environment conservation. This also irritates a customer or two some times. We are then told that he is on a secret mission to save the environment. Smita Tambe’s character is on his trail to find out who he is.
The trailer has enough material to interest you to know the story further about Hassu’s mission. The light-hearted nature of storytelling also works well.
Sanyal has always been a quality performer and he appears promising here as well. Tambe, another talented actor, doesn’t get much footage here, but it won’t be wrong to expect a good performance from her.
Hawa Badle Hassu is slated to release later this month on SonyLIV.
