Riteish Deshmukh joins Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 3

Riteish Deshmukh is the latest addition to the cast of the Tiger Shroff-starrer Baaghi 3 (2020), the third film in the Baaghi series. The news is shared by the film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala in an official statement. 

The producer pointed out that this is his sixth film with Deshmukh. “Ritiesh has been a part of my Housefull franchise and now he joins the Baaghi clan too. This will be my sixth film with him after four installments of Housefull and Heyy Babyy (2007),” Nadiadwala said. 

Deshmukh and Nadiadwala have also worked together in Marathi cinema. “We share a great relationship and it was a pleasure writing Lai Bhaari [the 2014 Marathi film] for him. Riteish has always aced his roles and we are happy to have him on board,” he added.

Deshmukh and Shraddha have worked together previously in the hit film, Ek Villain (2014). He hasn't worked with Shroff before. It is not known if Deshmukh will be playing a protagonist or antagonist in the film.

Baaghi 3 stars Shraddha Kapoor opposite Shroff again. She was the female lead in the first film.

Baaghi 2 (2018) had actress Disha Patani play the actor’s love interest. Similarly, the director of Baaghi 2, Ahmed Khan, returns to helm the third film. The first film was directed by Sabbir Khan, who had also directed Shroff’s debut film, Heropanti (2014). 

Baaghi 3 is due to be released 6 March 2020.
