‘Yeshil Tu’ from Miss U Mister is one of my best songs ever, says Sonu Nigam

Sonu Nigam is one of the top singers to have emerged from India in the 1990s and has a number of hits to his credit in Hindi cinema.

But Nigam has also been singing regularly in Marathi cinema. His latest song is ‘Yeshil Tu’ from Sameer Joshi’s Miss U Mister, which stars Mrunmayee Deshpande and Siddharth Chandekar.

Nigam declared that this is one of the best songs of his long career. “I have sung many popular songs in my life. But it wouldn't be an exaggeration if I said this is one of the best songs of my life. Alap Desai has done a wonderful job,” he said in an official statement.

The singer added that the song will have pan-India appeal, even among non-Marathi audiences. “Even the person who does not understand the meaning of the words will be mesmerized by the song," he said. "I am lucky to have this song as a singer. This song will have a special place in my career.”

The song has been picturized on the lead characters played by Deshpande and Chandekar. It is an emotional number that narrates the turmoil they are going through.
