Mukta Barve plays a mysterious character in Smile Please: Watch teaser

The first poster and title of designer-turned-filmmaker Vikram Phadnis’s Smile Please made us feel the film is a light-hearted saga. But the teaser of the film, which has just been released, gives us an idea that the film is also a psychological drama.

Starring Mukta Barve, Lalit Prabhakar and Prasad Oak, Smile Please has been produced by Everest Entertainment.

The story of the film and its characters are kept largely hidden in the teaser. So, we have Barve’s character repeating the same thing to a therapist and struggling even at that. She appears to be playing a character that is psychologically challenged and mysterious.

Prabhakar plays a young man who has a good rapport or relationship with Barve’s character. We get just a glimpse of Oak’s character.

The latter part of the teaser is musical and light-hearted with the characters looking happy. Such diverse content piques your interest.

This is Phadnis’s second film as a director after Hrudayantar (2017), which also starred Barve but with Subodh Bhave. Hrudayantar also had Hrithik Roshan playing himself in a cameo. That film had colourful visuals and the same can be said about Smile Please as well.
