The producers accused the actress of "unprofessional behaviour" but a spokesperson for Mouni Roy stated she had not been finalized for the project and had not signed the contract owing to "discrepancies".

It seems the audience will have to wait a while longer for the first-time pairing of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mouni Roy. The actress has walked out of the romance film, Bole Chudiyan, amidst accusations of "unprofessional behaviour" by the producers.
The actress's exit is surprising as the film's poster featuring her and Siddiqui was released only last week. In March, Roy seemed excited about the part and said at a media interaction, "The only thing I can say is this girl [her character] is very fiery. She drives tractors and dances. It’s a full Hindi film heroine. I was waiting for something like that."
In a statement, producer Rajesh Bhatia said, "From the time we signed her, she and her agency have been highly unprofessional and irresponsible, even after signing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) and paying her. Even for the final narration held two days ago, she walked in at 5:30pm for a 3pm narration, embarrassing the producers, director and actor."
Meanwhile a spokesperson for Roy refuted the producer's claims and stated: "Mouni has done many films before and has had a successful career, where everyone has vouched for her professionalism. Mr Rajesh Bhatia... is now claiming that Mouni is not a professional, whereas there are several emails and text messages proving otherwise. Even the contract isn't signed because of the discrepancies in it."
Roy's spokesperson further said the actress does not believe in "mudslinging" and wishes the team of Bole Chudiyan the "very best".
Bole Chudiyan is the directorial debut of Nawazuddin's brother, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui. The film is produced by Woodpecker Movies and shooting is due to begin next month.
