Shah Rukh Khan’s Bard Of Blood to stream on Netflix from 27 September

Shah Rukh Khan-produced Netflix original series Bard Of Blood now has a release date. It will start streaming on the digital platform from 27 September. The series stars Emraan Hashmi, Vineet Kumar Singh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kirti Kulhari and Rajit Kapoor.
Produced by Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the series is based on author Bilal Siddiqui's book of the same name. The series is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta of Te3n (2016) fame.
An official statement from the makers revealed that "the story is about four Indian intelligence officers belonging to the Indian Intelligence Wing (IIW) who are compromised, before they can relay an important piece of information to India. They get captured and are about to be decapitated. The stakes are high.”
Netflix released a motion poster of Bard Of Blood along with the announcement of the release date. It has Emraan Hashmi dressed as the intelligence officer. With a gun in his hand and a bullet proof vest, he looks ready for a deadly mission ahead of him.

Apart from this series, Khan is also producing a Netflix original movie adapted from author S Hussain Zaidi’s unpublished book Class Of 83. The film is based on the Mumbai underworld of the1980s and will be directed by Atul Sabharwal who made his directorial debut with Yash Raj Films’ Aurangzeb (2013).

Bard Of Blood is the first Netflix original announced in India. As per figures shared by the streaming platform, it has 149 million subscribers in 190 countries across the globe.
