Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru goes on floors in Kashmir

The film, which was officially launched on 1 June, marks the first time collaboration of director Anil Ravipudi and Mahesh Babu.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming Telugu film Sarileru Neekevvaru, in which he’s rumoured to be playing a military officer, has gone on floors in Kashmir. The first schedule of the film will be shot there till the second week of August.

The makers plan to shoot a few scenes and the introduction song in the Kashmir schedule. The second schedule will be shot in Hyderabad where the makers have erected a huge train set to shoot some important action sequences.

The film, which had its official launch on 1 June, marks the first time collaboration of director Anil Ravipudi and Mahesh Babu. Actress Rashmika Mandanna plays the leading lady.

Produced by Dil Raju and Anil Sunkara, the film also stars Rajendra Prasad and Jagapathi Babu.

The makers have also announced that the film will hit the screens next year during Sankranti festival. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose music. The rest of the cast and crew will be announced very soon.

Meanwhile, Mahesh’s last outing Maharshi (2019) has crossed Rs200 crore at the box-office. The film, which also stars Pooja Hegde, features Mahesh in the role of a multimillionaire who takes up farming for the sake of his best friend.

Mahesh also has a project with Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the offing. Originally planned to be made last year, the collaboration was postponed due to Sandeep’s Hindi film commitment.
