The trailer of Raj Chakraborty’s upcoming film Parineeta features Subhasree Ganguly in an unusual avatar. It also suggests that the actress is solely going to carry the film on her shoulder for the most part.

Parineeta also features Ritwick Chakraborty, Adrit Roy and Gaurav Chakrabarty in important roles. Parineeta is an original story conceived by the director himself.

Mehul (Subhasree Ganguly) is smitten by Babai Da (Ritwick Chakraborty), who also happens to be her neighbour. She still studies in school and her feelings are quite deep yet innocent. In the trailer, she can be seen conveying her desire by telling Babai’s mother that Babai should be married off within his own locality. She also asks the mother if she is pretty enough to be a bride.

Babai teaches Mehul, however, the latter and her friends don’t lose opportunity to tease him with admiration. While Mehul wants to be over protective about Babai, he is only concerned about getting Mehul pass her exams.

Mehul feels that her dreams are going to come true when Babai speaks of revealing a secret to her on the day of Holi. However, the twist occurs as Mehul’s mother comes with the shocking of news of Babai’s suicide and Mehul’s life turns upside down.

The trailer might seem to be revealing a lot, however, post Babai’s death, the visuals of the rest of the story seem quite puzzling. It is only apparent that Mehul sets on a mission in which the character of Adrit Roy gives her company but also warns her of the impending dangers ahead.

Mehul keeps recalling all her memories with Babai in her quest and in her moments of depression. A glimpse of her in a completely different avatar from her simpleton and innocent nature makes room for suspicion too.

Parineeta trailer appears quite interesting for Ganguly’s unprecedented portrayal and also the elements of innocence in it. The trailer gives us hope that there is a lot to discover in the story.
