Ahead of its September release, actor Manoj Bajpayee, along with writer-director Raj Nidimoru, took their Amazon series The Family Man to US television critics as part of the summer tour of The Television Critics Association (TCA) last week.

The Family Man was the only Indian series featured at the American panel. The head of international originals at Amazon Studios, James Farrell, backed the 10-episode series.

"We know we have a big audience here. We are super-excited about this one and there is a lot more coming," Farrell was quoted as saying in a Deadline.com report of the panel.

The report also stated that the streaming platform's two top-performing international originals (non-US) were Indian shows.

Bajpayee plays an agent in the National Intelligence Agency who has to balance his family life alongside his highly secretive job. The series, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, allows him to reach viewers who may not have seen him before.

The series has been shot in Mumbai, Kashmir and even Syria. The ensemble cast includes Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Neeraj Madhav, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, and Shreya Dhanwantary, who had a leading role in Emraan Hashmi's Why Cheat India (2019).
