After Bihar, UP, Rajasthan and Delhi, Super 30 declared tax-free in Maharashtra


The film has earned Rs127.18 crore till its third Monday (29 July).

After Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi, Super 30 (2019) has now been declared tax-free in Maharashtra as well. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film has been inspired from the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, known for coaching to the underprivileged for the IIT entrance exams free of charge. 

Hrithik thanked Devendra Fadnavis, the chief minister of Maharashtra, and Sudhir Mungantiwar, minister of finance and planning, forests, for taking the decision. 

“With utmost gratitude, I would like to thank Shri Mungantiwar Ji and Devendra Fadnavis, Ji for not just appreciating our film Super 30 but also declaring the film tax free in Maharashtra. It gives me immense happiness and fills me with pride to be bestowed with this honour,” wrote Hrithik on his official Twitter page. 

Coincidentally, yesterday Kumar met Fadnavis at the chief minister’s office for a formal chat. He gave his reaction on the meet and thanked Fadnavis for providing a tax-free status to the film in Maharashtra.

"It felt very good when Maharashtra CM Hon’ble Devendra Fadnavis congratulated me for the film Super 30 during a formal meeting. The best thing was that he declared the film tax free. Thank you from the core of my heart," said Kumar.

Also starring Aditya Srivastava, Mrunal Thakur and Virendra Saxena, Super 30 has been successful at the box office. The film has earned Rs127.18 crore till its third Monday (29 July).
