Box office: Judgementall Hai Kya earns Rs2.25 crore on first Monday, Arjun Patiala falls

The Lion King continued its good run in India even on its second Monday.

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Judgementall Hai Kya earned a decent Rs19.25 crore in its first weekend. But the film had a fall on its first Monday (29 July) as it made only Rs2.25 crore, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com.

The drop is 50% from its opening number of Rs4.50 on Friday. Such a drop is fine on Monday but only if your opening number is high, which wasn’t the case with Judgementall Hai Kya.

As per trade sources, the Prakash Kovelamudi film has been made on a budget of around Rs30-35 crore while its grand total currently stands at Rs21.50 crore. The box office performance of the film in the first week will decide where it is heading.

Arjun Patiala, which also released on Friday, is heading nowhere. After a low weekend of Rs4.50 crore, the Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon-starrer earned only Rs50 lakh yesterday.

On the other hand, Hollywood animation film The Lion King had a good second Monday as it collected Rs3.25 crore. The film has earned Rs35.50 crore so far in the second week while its overall total in India stands at Rs116.44 crore.

Meanwhile, Super 30, starring Hrithik Roshan, continued to earn decently even on its third Monday as it made Rs1.50 crore. Based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, the film has so far earned Rs127.18 crore and has become a success.
