As he turns 60 today (29 July), actor Sanjay Dutt is not slowing down in the least. His first production as producer, the Marathi film Baba (2019), is due to be released this week, the trailer of another production Prassthanam (2019) with old colleagues Manisha Koirala and Jackie Shroff will be out as well and now, the actor has been named as the antagonist in the upcoming Kannada film, KGF Chapter 2.
Dutt confirmed his casting on Twitter as the makers, Hombale Films, presented the adversary who would go up against actor Yash’s Rocky from the first film.

The Kannada film, directed by Prashanth Neel, was released on 21 December 2018, and also featured Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions. The casting of Dutt in the film was long rumoured but the makers made it official today on the Dutt’s birthday.
The first image, a sketch of Dutt as the character, shows only his eyes as Adheera covers the lower half of his face. A tattoo of letters can be seen on the left side of his face. Significantly, Adheera seems to be leading an army of men dressed just like him.
The much anticipated second chapter is expected to begin shooting soon and does not have a release date as yet.
