Box Office: Judgementall Hai Kya stays ahead of Arjun Patiala on low scoring Friday

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao's Judgementall Hai Kya sneaked ahead of the romantic comedy, Arjun Patiala, on a low scoring opening Friday. The Prakash Kovelamudi film managed a decent Rs4.25 crore at the box office, according to numbers from boxofficeindia.com. The film's returns are still better than its competitor, Arjun Patiala, which managed a meagre Rs1.25 crore on the same day. 

Arjun Patiala's low returns might also be attributed to the spoof genre of the film, which does not have a good record at the Indian box office. The film's genre does not appeal much to audiences in the North leaving it depending on the metro regions for its success. 

While Judgementall Hai Kya had quite the buzz going for it in the week preceding to its release, it has not managed to exploit that visibility. While the Rs4.25 crore collection is not bad at all, the film will need a major boost in the coming week to ensure a successful earning. 

Both films will have to ensure a bigger weekend collection, and keep the flow strong till Monday for any chance of success.
