Every now and then there comes a Marathi film which makes you detest it from its teaser itself and makes you wonder how it got made in the first place. The latest to join the coveted list is director Aashish Kailas Jain’s Maaj: Finish It.
Going by the film's poster, it looks like one of those Bhojpuri films where the protagonist is a colourful, fearless character and the leading lady is a pretty face.
The makers have also come up with a teaser for the film that does not give any idea about its plot. In fact, the teaser is simply a compilation of a number of short, confusing visuals. All we can make out is that the film has a poor man whose dear one is in hospital, a few goons, and a corrupt policeman.
This looks like a classic example of clumsy editing. It seems as if the editor of the trailer somehow just wanted to finish the job and move onto the next one.
Directed by Aashish Kailas Jain, Maaj: Finish It will be released on 2 August. Watch the teaser below and let us know if you would be keen to watch the film.
