After Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota, Abhimanyu Dassani bags Sabbir Khan's Nikamma

After the critically acclaimed Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2019), actor Abhimanyu Dassani has now bagged his next, titled Nikamma. The film will see the launch of singer and social media sensation Shirley Setia. 

Nikamma will be directed by Sabbir Khan and produced under the banner of Sony Pictures India. Veteran trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the news along with the first look of Dassani and Setia in the film. 

Dassani also shared the picture from the film on his Twitter handle, writing: “presenting Sabbir Sirs Nikamma feat Shirley Setia. Thank you Sony Pictures India for this amazing opportunity!” 

Setia, who has more than 1.30 million followers on Twitter, shared the news on her handle, writing, “This is for all my well wishers out there! Thank you so much for being by my side all these years! Super excited to share about my Bollywood venture Nikamma with Abhimanyu directed by Sabbir Sir. Thank you so much.” 

Before Nikamma, Khan has helmed films like Kambakkht Ishq (2009), Heropanti (2014), Baaghi (2016) and Munna Michael (2017). 

Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota didn’t set the box office on fire but the film and Dassani’s performance appreciated, even in festival circles.
