Actor Dhanush, who was recently seen in The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir (2019), has confirmed that he will soon reunite with his brother and filmmaker K Selvaraghavan for a new project that will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.

At a recent media interaction, Dhanush confirmed playing the lead in Selvaraghavan’s next film. However, he didn’t reveal any other information with regards to the project.

Dhanush is reportedly helping out his brother after the colossal flop of Suriya-starrer NGK (2019), which was released amid high expectations but failed to click at the box-office.

The actor, who was last seen playing a local ruffian in Maari 2 (2018), plays a daily wage labourer in his next release Asuran, which has also been produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations. The film marks his fourth collaboration with director Vetrimaaran.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is expected to return to the shoot of director Durai Senthil Kumar’s yet-untitled film in which he again plays a double role. He also awaits the release of Vada Chennai 2, which will see him play a gangster. Having already shot 30 minutes of footage of the second part, the project will most likely resume later this year.

He also has a project each with director Ramkumar of Ratsasan fame and Mari Selvaraj of Pariyerum Perumal (2018) fame. Both these films are expected to go on the floors later this year.

Dhanush has clarified that his second directorial project, earlier rumoured to be shelved, is very much on and he hopes to complete the remainder of shoot very soon.
