'Tomake' song from Raj Chakraborty’s upcoming film Parineeta is a soothing and romantic composition by Arko. The song features Subhasree Ganguly, who plays school girl Mehul in the film. Shreya Ghoshal’s soulful rendition of the song, without the accompaniment of any rhythm instrument, brings out the inherent innocence. It goes well with Mehul’s sequences of day dreaming about the love of her life.

The song lends soul to the visuals that depict Mehul immersed in her thoughts of Babai Da (Ritwick Chakraborty), to whom she has surrendered her soul. Written by Arko, the lyrics of the song describe an array of feelings in the most simplistic way. The words speak of her unspoken dreams woven around Babai Da, who happens to be her neighbour as well as her tutor.
Mehul is seen eagerly waiting to spend moments with her crush. The two have an adorable chemistry but it is apparent that while Mehul’s feelings are romantic, Babai is nothing but deeply affectionate towards her. Perhaps, Mehul is aware of this equation and yet she cannot contain her feelings for him. She indulges into mischiefs with him and also surprises him by painting his portrait. Mehul gets jealous fearing Babai Da might get attracted to his college friends and makes her best efforts so that he cannot spend much time with them.
The song as well as its visuals have a nostalgic flavour that reminds one of the innocence of love stories of adolescence. The memories of waiting, the supressed intensity of unspoken love and belongingness come alive in this song.
Parineeta is slated to be released in the month of August.
