It was recently reported that the release of Saaho, starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, is being postponed from 15 August to 30 August.
Now, a reliable source has confirmed to Cinestaan.com that the news is true. The trilingual film will now hit the screens a fortnight later.
This means there won’t be a three-way clash between Saaho, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and John Abraham’s Batla House on 15 August.
Interestingly, last year, too, Akshay Kumar and John saw their films, Gold and Satyameva Jayate, respectively, being released on the same day at the box office.
Saaho was also facing a three-way clash in the Telugu market on 15 August as two other movies, Ranarangam and Evaru, are scheduled to hit the screens on Independence Day.
However, Saaho faces another three-way clash in the Hindi market as Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor's Chhichhore and Rajkummar Rao's Made In China are also scheduled for release on 30 August.
With Saaho being postponed, Shraddha Kapoor now faces the prospect of having two of her films being released on the same day.
Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is Prabhas’s next film after SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017). The film is an action thriller which also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Jackie Shroff.
