Arjun Patiala song 'Sip Sip': Diljit Dosanjh turns up the silly in this infectious number

The video for the latest track 'Sip Sip' from Arjun Patiala (2019) doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The film's star, Diljit Dosanjh, finds himself in outlandish situations, but the appealing track by Akash D more than makes up for it.

The Punjabi-rap song has been sung by Guru Bhullar, while it has been written and composed by Akash D. He even contributes a rap portion for the number. The video finds Diljit Dosanjh in a retro avatar, channelling James Bond, and others as he turns up the silly. The other cast members, Kriti Sanon, Varun Sharma, Sunny Leone, Seema Pahwa, and Rohit Roy, also have appearances in the song.

The song fits into the satire format and it remains to be seen how it is treated in the final film. But on its own, the song is a catchy listen.

Arjun Patiala, directed by Rohit Jugraj, is due to be released on 26 July.
