Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter cast opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg 3?

Reports suggest that Sailee Manjrekar has been cast as one of the romantic leads opposite Khan in the film.

While his friendship with director Mahesh Manjrekar goes back a long time, Salman Khan has decided to take the director's kids under his wings. The actor has reportedly signed on Sailee Manjrekar, the youngest daughter of the filmmaker in the third film of the Dabangg franchise, to be directed by Prabhu Deva.

According to a report in tabloid Mumbai Mirror, Khan will shuttle between the past and present of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 3. The actor has already gone into a serious workout regimen to lose weight to play the younger version of his character.

While Sonakshi Sinha will reprise the role of Rajjo, Pandey's wife in the two earlier films, Saiee Manjrekar will reportedly play a love interest in the past. The report quoted a source saying, "She plays Salman's love interest and her role will be primarily in the prequel. However, life comes full circle and her character has relevance to the conflict Chulbul is battling in the present."

Initial reports suggested that it was Ashwani, Manjrekar's elder daughter, who was in the process of being cast in the film. However, it is the younger sibling who has bagged the role.

Dabangg 3 is currently underway, and is expected to be released in December 2020. The film will see Salman Khan reunite with the team of Arbaaz Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, with Pramod Sinha taking on the role of the late Vinod Khanna.
