After this year's Romeo Akbar Walter and Batla House, actor-producer John Abraham is embarking on yet another action thriller, Attack (2020). The film, a fictional account inspired by real-life events, follows a hostage crisis rescue led by a lone ranger.
John will produce the film under his banner JA Entertainment, and Kyta Productions’ Dheeraj Wadhawan and Ajay Kapoor join the project as co-producers. Kyta Productions have previously produced Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran (2018) and Romeo Akbar Walter, both starring John.
Attack is written and directed by Lakshya Raj Anand who has assisted Kabir Khan on New York (2009) and Ek Tha Tiger (2014). He also assisted Siddharth Anand on Bang Bang (2014) starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif.
In a statement, John said, “At JA Entertainment, we believe in 'content first'. It is our endeavour to push the envelope and produce films that entertain and have something significant to show to the increasingly discerning audience. Attack is a taut, interesting thriller with a strong storyline and a genre that I love!”
Co-producer Ajay Kapoor added, “Kyta Productions endeavours to drive good cinema by partnering with like minded partners. Attack is an intelligent, engaging story, which needs to be told for audiences of the younger generation. Working with John Abraham and his production banner has been a pleasure as we think alike on films.”
Attack is expected to begin shooting this December.
