First Shah Rukh Khan introduced us to his version of Mufasa in the upcoming remake of The Lion King. Now it's the turn of his son, Aryan, to introduce his character, Simba.

Walt Disney Studios shared a video of Aryan as Simba and it's safe to say the younger Khan is a chip off the old block. He sounds eerily like Shah Rukh and says his dialogues with conviction.

It’s an impressive voice performance for Aryan, who had earlier voiced the character of Tez (Dash in the English version) with his father in the Hindi version of The Incredibles (2004), Mr Lajawab.

Besides the Khans, actor Ashish Vidyarthi voices Scar, Asrani is Zazu, Shreyas Talpade and Sanjay Mishra are Simba's friends Timon and Pumba. Neha Gargawa voices Nala while Shernaz Patel voices Simba's mother Sarabi. Armaan Malik is the singing voice of Simba while Sunidhi Chauhan is the singing voice of Nala.

The Lion King (2019), an animated remake of the 2D classic The Lion King (1994), is due to be released in India on 19 July in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
