After producer Ekta Kapoor tendered an official apology for the incident that occurred at the Judgemental Hai Kya song launch, the Entertainment Journalists' Guild of India (EJGI) has declared that while her statement has been accepted, it will continue the ban on Kangana Ranaut.
Ranaut's behaviour at the song launch had prompted the guild to step up in support of Justin Rao, a journalist from the Press Trust of India news agency, and demand condemnation of the event from both Ekta Kapoor, the producer of the film, and Ranaut.
While Ranaut has not backed down from her stand, Kapoor tendered an apology.
In response, the EJGI wrote, 'The Entertainment Journalists Guild appreciates Ekta Kapoor's support and standing for what is right through her official statement. However, we will continue the ban on Kangana Ranaut across all media platforms.'
