After Paltan (2018), JP Films is embarking on another period history film. Tying up with Reliance Entertainment to produce the film, the project is a biopic of an army officer, an Ashoka Chakra awardee, in Kashmir.
Filmmaker JP Dutta's daughter Nidhi is taking charge on the biopic and has already begun location hunting for the film in Kashmir. She plans to visit the most well-known and unexplored locations of Kashmir to lend authenticity to the feature.
“While Kashmir offers immense beauty and serenity everywhere, it is most important for us to choose locations where we can try to replicate the story without having to make too many changes to the environment. There is a lot of uncharted territory, offbeat spots which I’ve heard of and I hope to stop by and have a look," Nidhi shared in a press release.
She is also on the hunt for 21 artistes and six directors for a web-series which will focus on 21 heroes from the army, navy and air force who have received India's highest honours and awards. Both the feature film and the web-series are both yet untitled.
