Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, quoted Shamas Siddiqui as saying, "Kabir plays Mansoor, Tamannaah's brother. It is a very important role. and I had spoken to a lot of actors, many of them from the Hindi film industry, but I was most impressed by Kabir."

Duhan has acted in several Telugu films like Ravi Teja's Kick 2 (2015), Ajith-starrer Vedalam (2015) and Lawrence Raghavendra's Kanchana 2 (2015). The actor has begun prepping for the shoot that is scheduled to start on 13 July.

The report also quoted Shamas as saying, "In the film, Kabir hails from a zamindar family, while Nawaz's character is a middle-class man and the two never get along."
