Rohit Shetty might make for an interesting innovator, if he weren't a director. In the latest glimpse of Sooryavanshi, the director can be seen supervising the planning of the stunt that marks the entry of Akshay Kumar's heroic officer. The clip was released by the producer of the film, Karan Johar.
The video catches the team of Sooryavanshi deep in planning as they set up the cars, the bike ride, and the entire sequence. Despite the presence of a large team, Shetty seems to be hands on as he tells his stunt director, "Nothing will happen to you".
Not very comforting, as one of the shots in the video is that of a police car being flipped head over heels, while another flies through the air. The sequence seems to be a key part of the film which has Akshay playing an Anti-Terrorism Squad officer.
Behind the scenes of India’s very own cinematic universe. Oh... and trust me, this is just the tip of the iceberg. That’s what happens when #RohitShetty and @akshaykumar get together.

The actor has his own stunts to take care of though. Having pulled off a wheelie with his sports bike, Akshay then takes a standing position on the running bike as he latches on to the helicopter running parallel on the street.
The photograph recently made waves on social media, after the actor posted a picture of himself riding the bike without a helmet.
Sooryavanshi is a spin-off from Simmba (2019) which saw Ranveer Singh essay the role of a cop. The film was itself a spin-off from Shetty's hit Singham franchise.
The film will also feature Katrina Kaif, and is set to be released on 27 March 2020.
