Kareena Kapoor Khan's suave cop makes her appearance for Angrezi Medium

Kareena Kapoor Khan's suave cop in Angrezi Medium (2020) has finally made an appearance.

The actress is part of the Irrfan Khan-starrer, directed by Homi Adajania. The makers of the film released her look on the 19th anniversary of her debut, Refugee (2000), on 30 June.

Dressed in casuals, with minimal make-up, the actress looks the part of the sharp cop, Naina. However, it is the badge pinned on the belt that gives a hint to her character. The badge belongs to the British police and implies that the film's plot will have an international angle.

Angrezi Medium is the sequel to the popular 2017 hit, Hindi Medium, featuring Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar. The sequel, not a continuation of the same plot, will have Khan essaying the original character with Radhika Madan playing his daughter, now grown up.

The film also marks Khan's comeback after successfully undergoing treatment for a neuroendocrine tumour. The actor had taken a break following the diagnosis of his condition. He returned to the arc lights when Adajania's film went on the floors on 5 April this year. 

The film will also see Deepak Dobriyal, Manu Rishi and Pankaj Tripathi make an appearance. The makers have not revealed the release date for the film, but it is certain to hit theatres next year.
