Veteran actor Danny Denzongpa's son Rinzing is finally making his acting debut with the Hindi film Squad this year. The action film will be directed by filmmaker Jyoti Kapur Das who directed the award-winning short film, Chutney (2016), starring Tisca Chopra and Plus Minus (2018) with Divya Dutta and Bhuvam Bam.

Rinzing's debut will begin shooting this April and like childhood friend Tiger Shroff, the newcomer seeks to make his name as an action star.

Kapur Das, who confirmed the film's status to daily tabloid Mumbai Mirror, said Rinzing was dedicated and giving his all to the workshops already underway for the film.

"My producer (Nilesh Sahay) keeps telling me that I'm the first woman to direct an action film in India, but I feel it's essential to do what you like rather than figuring if you're the first or the second to do it. Action will always remain my first love," she told Mumbai Mirror.

She also revealed the makers are collaborating with an international stunt team for the action sequences to "create something that won't leave the audience in disbelief".

Furthermore, Squad's story has an emotional chord at its centre with a little girl who will share screen space with Rinzing.

The action film has been co-written by Shobha Nihalani and will be shot at locations in India, before moving to Budapest where a large portion will be filmed.

No release as been announced for Squad as yet.
