Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is set to ditch the action-based roles to play a paraplegic in brother, Naman Nitin Mukesh's directorial debut. The film, titled Bypass Road, is to be released in 2019, with 95% of the shoot schedule already completed.
According to a tabloid Mumbai Mirror report, Neil said, "It's been a challenging role because of the genre of my character. I had to undergo a drastic physical transformation. I had got in great shape for Saaho but for this role, I was required to gain weight."
The film, reportedly a thriller, will feature Neil as a paraplegic in very extreme circumstances. The actor was last seen in Golmaal Again (2017). In Saaho, the actor has been cast as a villain, opposite Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor.
The first teaser to Saaho was released in 2018, with the motion poster preceding it in 2017. The film is expected to be released later this year.
Neil confirmed that the last schedule of Saaho is set to take place in Hyderabad later this month, before rejoining his brother Naman on the sets of Bypass Road.
