After many roadblocks, filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani’s Drive is finally heading into theatres on 28 June 2019. The film, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez, was earlier due for release in September 2018.
The film’s producer, Karan Johar, announced the new release date this evening on social media. The announcement video shows the headlights of four cars revving up with two finally racing away, finally revealing the new logo of the film.
On your marks, get set & race. See you in cinemas for a pulsating ride on 28th June, 2019 . #DRIVE@apoorvamehta18 @Tarunmansukhani @itsSSR @Asli_Jacqueline @DharmaMovies @foxstarhindi pic.twitter.com/jN2uYeWpky

Johar had previously revealed that the film would kick off a franchise for the production house. We wonder if India is ready for its own version of the Fast & Furious series.
Produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios, Drive also stars Vikramjeet Virk and Sapna Pabbi. The action-filled film, which has been shot in Israel, is written and directed by Tarun Mansukhani.
