The makers of PM Narendra Modi, the biopic on India’s prime minister Narendra Modi, have announced the entire cast of the film. The film will feature Zarina Wahab, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Anjan Shrivastav, Rajendra Gupta, Yatin Karyekar and Akshat R Saluja.
Vivek Anand Oberoi will play the titular role and Boman Irani will feature in the film, as announced earlier.
Produced by Sandip Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi, PM Narendra Modi will be directed by Omung Kumar, who is known for helming two biopics — Mary Kom (2014) and Sarbjeet (2016).
“A solid star cast with talented actors is the base of an effective cinematic experience. With PM Narendra Modi we have got actors who are not just experienced but are also the right mix for a prestigious project like a biopic on Mr Narendra Modi. I am excited at the prospect of having such a talented cast and to work with them along with Omung,” Ssingh said in an official statement.
During the announcement of the film last month, the makers had released the poster of the film in 23 Indian languages.
The makers have also revealed the story structure of the film in an official statement. “PM Narendra Modi, the biopic, will traverse the journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as chief minister onto his landmark win at the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the prime minister of India,” said the press note.
The film will be released this year.
