Like scores of Twitter users, actor Akshay Kumar took the #10YearChallenge as a start for the first day of shooting for Good News. The actor shared a poster of Kambakkht Ishq (2009), the last film where he shared screenspace with Kareena Kapoor Khan. Good News is directed by Raj Mehta, and will be released on 6 September 2019.
2009 to 2019, the #GoodNews is that not much has changed, or so we hope 😜 First day of shoot it is, do send in your best wishes 🙏🏻 #10YearChallenge#KareenaKapoorKhan @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @raj_a_mehta @DharmaMovies #CapeOfGoodFilms @ShashankKhaitan pic.twitter.com/XvdlCmPtV1

With his greying hair and stubble, Akshay looks a far cry from his 2009 avatar. However, Kapoor Khan seems to be back playing the lead after her last appearance on the ensemble Veere Di Wedding last year.
Good News will also feature Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani among other actors.
Kambakkht Ishq, directed by Sabbir Khan, had proved to be an expensive flop. The film also saw special appearances by Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards. However, it did not save the film from its poor performance at the box office.
Hopefully, Good News proves to be different.
