Varun Dhawan, Sonam Bajwa in Punjab to shoot Remo D'Souza's film

The producers said that they will be shooting a Punjabi wedding song and a few emotional scenes before they fly out to London for a 40-day schedule that commences on 10 February.

Actors Varun Dhawan and Sonam Bajwa landed in Punjab for the first schedule of director Remo D'Souza's next film which remains untitled.

The actors, director and producer Bhushan Kumar flew to Punjab in a chartered flight and headed to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Dhawan is seen indulging in a fun conversation, while Bajwa can be heard saying that she is nervous about the film.

"As we begin we seek ur blessings before reaching Punjab for the first schedule of #3 with @bajwasonam @remodsouza @itsBhushanKumar," tweeted Dhawan.

"We’ve got a lot of positive energy from the temple and are now geared up for the shoot. It’s an exciting project for our music label to be associated with, since being a dance film it has scope for a lot of songs. We have 12 in all and Sachin–Jigar’s album will be a mix of original, folk and recreated songs," Kumar said in a statement.

The producers added that they will be shooting a Punjabi wedding song and a few emotional scenes before they fly out to London for a 40-day schedule that commences on 10 February.

While Dhawan called the film #3, producer Kumar said it was not ABCD 3. He told Indiatoday.in, “It's a completely original concept which we are planning to spin into a franchise.” Actress Shraddha Kapoor will also feature in the film.

Dhawan joined the ABCD dance film franchise from the second film ABCD 2 (2015). Katrina Kaif was D’Souza’s first choice for the new film, but date issues forced her to opt out of the film. D’Souza then roped in Kapoor, who also played the female protagonist in the second film. Others in the film include Nora Fatehi, Shakti Mohan and Vartika Jha.
