As of now, Good News, directed by first-timer Raj Mehta and also featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, does not face any competition from a big-budget release on 6 September.
Akshay Kumar had accidentally revealed the film's title in an interview with senior film journalist Rajeev Masand last year. The actor had also mentioned that the film is based on a true story.
