Actor Anil Kapoor's debut as producer with OTT platform Netflix is likely to continue as the platform announced a second season for the India orginial series, Selection Day. The second season is likely to begin on 22 April, and will follow the journey of the young Manju finding his way against his father's ambition.
Even as the OTT platform teased the announcement of its second season, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar joined the promotional strategy by tweeting about the series.

Quick to respond, Kapoor confirmed that the second season for the series is on the anvil, and will be announced soon.

Based on Arvind Adiga's novel of the same name, the series features Mohamed Samad, Rajesh Tailang, and Yash Dholye in the key roles. Mahesh Manjrekar, Ratna Pathak Shah and Shiv Pandit were also part of the six episode first season run.
The second season is likely to begin on 22 April, and will focus on the journey further. The series is Netflix's third original Indian series after the hugely successful Sacred Games and Ghoul.
