Sonakshi Sinha played the character of an independent girl who is forced to go on a journey in Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi (2018). Her next will also see her venture on a hilarious voyage. It’s a yet untitled film produced jointly by Mahaveer Jain and Mrighdeep Singh.
The film will also star Varun Sharma, known for his iconic character of Choocha in Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017).
While Sinha ran away from her family in Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, this film will see her go on a journey for the happiness of her family.
Revealing more about the film, an official statement from the makers said, “Based in Hoshiyarpur (Punjab), Sonakshi plays the happy-go-lucky Punjabi girl who adores her family and will go to any lengths to see them happy even if it means not living her dreams. The film is the no-holds-barred journey of a girl in a hush-hush world. Along this hilarious journey, this small town girl will break taboos, open hearts and ultimately, minds.”
Interestingly, the film also stars theatre veteran Nadira Babbar. In all these years, she has been seen in less than a handful of films in the form of Bride & Prejudice (2004), Meenaxi: Tale of 3 Cities (2004), Jai Ho (2014) and Ghayal Once Again (2016).
