Nawazuddin Siddiqui roars in the 'club mix' theme track of Thackeray

The makers of the Bal Thackeray biopic have come up with an interesting promotional track.

Keyur Seta

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s last film Manto (2018) was a biopic on the late writer Saadat Hasan Manto. The film had a promotional rap song peppered with the actor’s dialogues as Manto. His upcoming film Thackeray is also a real life story of a late political personality – Bal Thackeray.

The makers of Thackeray have also come up with the theme track of the film as a 'club mix' in Hindi. It is full of Siddiqui’s dialogues in the film.

The smart mixture of powerful dialogues and Sandeep Shirodkar’s addictive music make the song worthy of repeat hearing. Siddique's voice may not be as commanding as the late Shiv Sena leader's, but it works just fine in this track.

The visuals follow the story of Thackeray from being a novice in politics to one of the most powerful politicians in Maharashtra with a dedicated following. The effect given to the visuals goes perfectly with the genre of the song.

Directed by Abhijit Panse, the film is a bilingual in Hindi and Marathi. Both versions will be released on 25 January. The film will clash with Kangana Ranaut’s much talked about Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, the biopic on India’s freedom fighter Rani Laxmibai.
